Having Fun

Today since I did my blog on Speak I want to do it on what I want to be when I grow up. I want to be a professional wrestler. I want to beat my favorite wrestler of all time The Game Triple H. He is my favorite wrestler. John Cena is another of my favorite wrestler. I knew Triple H longer. I grew up learning everything I know about wrestling from the King of Kings. Beating him in a match is an accomplishment. I also like the Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels. His Sweet Chin Music is a move that would send your teeth down your throat. I just love wrestling so much. Next year when I transfer to DeWitt Clinton H.S I am going to make sure I am on the wrestling team. I want to be the best. I want to prove that when it comes to wrestling theres no stopping me.

Hi Aboubacarr! My name is Bennett Cohen, and I work in the energy industry here in New York City. Mr. Himowitz has been a friend of mine for many years. We became friends years ago when we were both living in England. He and your teachers thought I would enjoy reading your blog, so I have been assigned to be your blog mentor. As your blog mentor, I plan to read your blog each week to read what you have written and to help you with your writing.

But first, a little about myself. I am 25 years old and originally from Portland, Oregon, which is 3000 miles from New York City! I moved to New York to go to school, and have been living here since 2001. I like New York City because it is an exciting place to live and there are many interesting job opportunities.

My favorite thing to do is snowboard in the mountains. Many of my friends think I am crazy because I am always wishing for cold weather and winter storms so that I will be able to snowboard. I listen to a lot of music, mostly hip hop and rock and roll. I also like to read books and watch action and comedy movies.

I really enjoyed reading your last post, ‘Having Fun’. It seems to me that you are a real expert when it comes to professional wrestling. I’m glad that you plan to wrestle next year at Dewitt Clinton High School. Big dreams, such as becoming a professional wrestler, require smaller steps along the way.

Have you thought about the differences between professional wrestling on TV and the competitive athletic wrestling you will have the opportunity to try in high school next year? What do you think the main differences are? I wonder if the wrestlers you see on TV wrestled for their old high school teams. What do you think?

Your writing is very clear and your love of wrestling practically flies right off the page! Next time, think about including some more details and background information on topics like professional wrestling that your readers (like me!) might not know very much about. For example, what is Sweet Chin Music?

Keep up the good work. I am looking forward to reading your next post!
